Privacy statement
Tradesite · Version 1 November 2026
This statement covers the data that Tradesite itself processes: from people who sign up, customers, and visitors to tradesite.nl and tradesite.eu. For our customers' websites, each customer has their own privacy statement (linked at the bottom of that website).

What data do we use, and why?
- Sign-up and dashboard: your name, email address, phone number, town, business details (such as Chamber of Commerce number) and the content of your website. Needed to build and manage your website (performance of the contract).
- Payments: amount, date and the details the payment service passes on to us (such as the payer's name and account number). Needed for the payment and our accounts (contract and legal obligation).
- Domain names: the holder details (name, address, email, phone). We pass these on to the registrar and the registry of the extension, such as SIDN or EURid; they may publish part of them under their own rules.
- Questions through the 'Ask a question' chat, the help assistant or email: your question and, if you leave them, your contact details. So we can answer you (your request or our legitimate interest).
- Security: to prevent abuse we briefly count the number of requests per IP address (legitimate interest). We keep this for one day at most.
Who do we share data with?
We never sell your data. We only share it with parties we need for our service:
- Cloudflare: hosting, storage, security and AI features (Workers AI);
- Google and OpenRouter: AI features such as translation, writing texts, the help assistant and the logo studio; Google also for a spare copy of backups in Google Drive;
- Resend: sending emails, such as your welcome email and reminders;
- GitHub: storing private backups and our source code;
- Mollie: processing payments;
- Openprovider and the registry of the extension: registering domain names.
Some of these parties are (also) located outside the European Union, mainly in the United States. We only work with parties that offer appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Otherwise we only share data when the law requires it.
What you type into an AI feature is sent to that AI service to create an answer. So please do not type sensitive data there.
How long do we keep data?
For as long as you are a customer, and after that 90 days at most (see article 14 of the terms and conditions). Data the law requires us to keep longer, such as invoices and payments, we keep for 7 years. Backups are kept for a limited time so we can recover from outages.
Cookies
Our websites use no tracking or advertising cookies and no visitor statistics. The dashboard sets one functional cookie (ts_panel) so your device recognises you; you can remove it in the dashboard with 'Forget this device'. Your language choice and a few settings are only stored in your own browser.
Security
We never ask for your passwords. The dashboard works with a personal, secret link that you can have replaced. Data travels encrypted (HTTPS) over the internet.
Your rights
You may view, correct or delete your data, object to its use and ask for a copy to take with you. Just contact us; we respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
